Get Fit Friday


Well, I achieved my goal that I set back in March!  I rocked a bikini while we were in Punta Cana!


Did I feel completely comfortable wearing it?  Nope!  I felt way better wearing this.


But I did it!  And am proud of all of the hard work that I did for the 3 months leading up to our trip.  But I'm not finished with my transformation yet.  I still want to tone up more & get rid of the rest of my 'baby belly'.  We are going to Cancun for Christmas & I want to feel 100% confident when I strut my stuff on the beach in a bikini!  6 more months...I can do it!


We actually worked out every day while we were in Punta Cana!  And one day even took a spinning class.  We knew we weren't going to eat perfectly, so we wanted to off set our not so healthy food choices by regular exercise.  I think it worked because we both came back weighing the same as when we left!  Score!

I was never so happy to come home & eat lots of salads & fruit!  Being in a tropical location, I was surprised at how little fruit was offered (unless you were at a buffet).  And many people got sick eating the salads, so I stayed away from those.  Nothing like being back in the good ole' US of A where healthy food is available in abundance!

Before we left for Punta Cana, I was doing Insanity.  I had completed Week #2 prior to leaving.


In the program, Month #1 lasts four weeks, there is a Recovery Week, and then Month #2 starts Interval Training for another four weeks.  Well, I am heading to our Scentsy Convention in Las Vegas from July 24th to the 28th & if I continued on the plan I was on before our vacation, I would be in the middle of Month #2 and my schedule would get all messed up being away (I'm sorry but I cannot do these workouts in my hotel room with another Scentsy consultant.  I don't think she'd appreciate my 6 am workouts very much!).  So I decided to just start the program over again this week.  That way I will be in my Recovery Week while I am in Vegas, can just work out at the gym while I am there, and start Month #2 when I get back home.  

So this week I started back to Week #1 in the Insanity Program!

Monday: Fit Test
Tuesday: Plyometric Cardio Circuit
Wednesday: Cardio Power & Resistance
Thursday: Cardio Recovery
Friday: Pure Cardio
Saturday: Plyometric Cardio Circuit
Sunday: Off

And it's worked out great!  I actually came down with a nasty head cold as soon as we got back from Punta Cana, so I've been trying to rest as much as possible & recover this week.  I'm glad that I'm back to familiar territory this week (in terms of the workout program), being under the weather and all.  It's worked out quite well.


And I just went grocery shopping today & stocked up on lots of healthy food options, and plenty of fruits & vegetables.  

It's good to be home & eating healthy again!!!

But I'm already missing this view...

  1. You look great! You both do. It's very motivating. If I could get my diet in check I'd be doing good too. That's the hard part;)
