I am nearing the end of Week #2 of Insanity & here is what my workout schedule looked like this past week:
Monday: Cardio Power & Resistance
Tuesday: Pure Cardio
Wednesday: Cardio Circuit
Thursday: Cardio Recovery
Friday: Cardio Power & Resistance
Saturday: Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs
Sunday: Rest
This week as been great! I can already tell that my endurance & stamina has improved, even only two weeks into the program. Granted, I still have to take breaks throughout the workouts (especially Pure Cardio) but I have noticed this week I don't have to take near as many nor are the breaks as long. It's amazing what two weeks of an intense cardiovascular program can do for your body!
I have decided this time not to take pictures every week. I, personally, could never tell a difference week after week. I think if I stick to every 3-4 weeks there will be more of a shock value, and I will be able to see a more noticeable difference, versus when I did them weekly.
I just came across these McCormick Recipe Inspirations this past week. Have you seen them before? They are premeasured spices combined with a recipe card to help you create a delicious meal. They were less than $2.00 a piece at Walmart, and oh my, have they been great to use when I've been in the 'what the heck do I make for dinner?' mode!
Last week we tried both the Asian Sesame Salmon & the Garlic Lime Fajitas and they were both delicious! The main spices & herbs are provided for you, and then on the back of the recipe card it lists the remaining ingredients that are needed. The nice thing about these is that there is a tear out recipe card on the back, so now that I have the recipe, I don't have to buy these packets anymore. I can just buy the spices & herbs that I don't have & still enjoy these delicious meals. Marc & the girls really liked these two meals, and I have a feeling I will be making a lot more of the different available recipes.

I cannot believe that in just 3 short days Marc & I will be in Punta Cana! It seems like just yesterday that I posted about earning the trip & wanting to get in shape before we went. And here we are 3 months later about to go!
The plan is to work out every day we are down there. The have a gym as well as fitness classes, not to mention Coach Lee, our health & wellness coach through Scentsy, will be down there doing classes on the beach for all of us (how cool is that?!). So between these three things, Marc & I have no excuses as to why we can't get a good workout in every day. Right?!
And my goal is to come back the same weight that I left at. Sure, I'm going to enjoy the food & beverages while I am down there, but just because it is all inclusive does not mean I'm going to go totally crazy. I don't want one week of over indulging to ruin all of the hard work I've put into these past few months.
That's the plan...and I'm sticking to it!
See you in beautiful, sunny Punta Cana!!!

Have fun, Jessica!!
