I think I've mentioned on here a time or two (or three or four!) that I won a trip through Scentsy for hubby & me to the Dominican Republic! 5 days of relaxation, fun in the sun, and alone time with Marc. I cannot wait!
While laying on the beach & basking in the sun sounds FABULOUS, I am no where ready to wear a bikini! Or a tankini. Or even a one piece bathing suit for that matter. At this point in time, the thought of wearing any kind of bathing suit depresses me.
I don't necessarily need to lose weight. Sure a few pounds would be awesome, but what I really need to do is tone up! Big time! The stomach, thighs, butt, the whole shebang!
And with only 108 days until our beach vacation, it is time to get my booty in gear!
That's right! I am starting P90X!
Marc started this program back in December & I am blown away by his results! His 90 days are up some time next week & I will be sure to share his results. And maybe even a picture of two if he lets me. :)
I know that this program is going to be very hard but I am up for the challenge! Of course I want a rockin' body when we go on our trip, but most importantly, I want to feel good about myself & how I look in a bathing suit. And I can assure you, at this moment in time, I do not.
So without further ado, here are my 'before' pictures.
Ack! I cannot believe I am posting these pictures. But this is what I look like at the moment & I want to visually see my results throughout the program from start to finish. As well as confirm that there definitely are areas that I need to work on & improve during this program. Ha!
Sunday is going to be Day 1 of the program. I will have one rest day (day 7) each week so I want to make sure that one of my off days be on the weekend. So Sunday it is!
And every Friday I'm going to be doing a Get Fit Friday post to keep me accountable during this program, to keep everyone updated who may be interested in how I am doing, but also to motivate anybody else who may be doing this program the same time I am doing it.
Does anybody want to do P90X with me?! I'd love to go through the pain together! Ha!
I really hope I survive my first workout. Marc told me he almost puked during & after his first one. Lovely.
But like they say...No Pain, No Gain!
And I'm ready!

I think you look GREAT for having had 2 kids especially! But it's always good to tone up too---good luck! I'll cheer you on while I eat some more Girl Scout cookies LOL---I've got no willpower ;-)
ReplyDeletethe first work out (for us was arms and shoulders) was pure TORTURE! it really turned me off from the program and I'm sad to say, I promptly quit. Good luck you can do it!
ReplyDeleteYou do look great! I have 89 days until my due date and am way too close to the weight I was when I had Gracie!!!!! So although I won't be doing your intense program, I am going to try to limit my weight gain (healthily!) from here on out.
