Our first full day in Punta Cana was awesome!
Even though we didn't get to bed until 11:30 pm the night before, we had to be bright & early for the Welcome Reception. This mama wasn't too happy when the alarm clock went off at 6:00 am.
But I am so happy that we didn't decide to sleep in & forgo the breakfast. The CEO's, Orville
& Heidi Thompson, as well as the entire Events team, welcome us all with open arms & had a delicious breakfast ready for us when we got there. One exciting thing that happened during our reception was that I was recognized as being one of the top point earners (of all 1500+ consultants attending week #2 of this trip) during the qualification period for this incentive trip! I was called up on stage with Heidi & Orville, received a special gift & had my photo taken! What an honor!

After breakfast, Marc & I went to work out & then headed to the pool and beach to hang out with friends. The weather was beautiful, but hot! Us white folks from Washington are not used to all of this sun! Ha!
Marc got super comfy under the palapa & decided to take a little snooze...until the waitress came to take our beverage order! And then, boom, he was wide awake! Ha!
And I was super excited when all of a sudden my Super Star Director, whom I have never met, walked by. I looked at her, she looked at me, I whispered to my team member Shing asking if it was her, and I think she realized it was me, because she then came up to me & introduced herself. I'm so glad we were able to meet here in beautiful Punta Cana!
After a little to long at the pool & beach (yep, even with sunscreen we got a little burnt) we headed back to our room to shower & relax a bit before dinner.
We met some friends for dinner at a Mexican restaurant & then met up with some of my Director Boot Camp buddies for a drink, some karaoke and an (obligatory) picture.
And when we got back to our room? A gift from Heidi & Orville, with an invitation to the 70's & 80's party tomorrow night!
What a way to end an amazing first full day in Punta Cana! I cannot wait to see what is in store for us the rest of the week!
