Ashby had a super fun day yesterday! She started her Tuesday with being Star of the Day at her preschool! For the third time this year. But even though it was her third time, her excitement & enthusiasm about her BIG day & what secret item she was going to put in the box, was JUST like her first Star of the Day...and second Star of the Day! She was one excited cookie!
Baby girl wanted to wear her Dallas t-shirt that I got her on our house hunting trip last week. She was excited to show her teachers & class her pretty pink shirt! And in the box, she brought her favorite Cinderella doll!
She had a great day & was super sad to leave the Star of the Day box behind at school, knowing she would never be Star of the Day at Sparkleberry's again. Hopefully they do something similar to this at her new school in TX!
Yesterday was also her school's Backyard Circus! If you remember, Kennedy participated in it during her two years at Sparkleberry's too! Ashby was excited that it was finally her turn to be in the circus!
And just like Kennedy, she too, got to choose what she wanted to be in the circus as well as what acts she was going to perform!
And just like Kennedy's first year, she chose to be a Princess Ballerina!
And just for comparison. Here is Kennedy during her preschool Backyard Circus. Look how young she looks!
And Ashby too! This was only two years ago, but man, what a difference!
All of the kids were so cute. There were clowns, tigers, strongmen, dogs, giraffes, lions, elephants, monkeys, bears, ballerinas, and even a spiderman at the circus! Such diversity at the circus this year!
She was so cute during her act. She danced for everyone, lifted a very heavy weight, did a somersault, and then ended her performance with an adorable bow for the audience. I was nervous about how she would do in front of an audience (she can be quite shy in front of strangers sometimes), but she performed like a pro & really seemed to enjoy herself!
We are really going to miss Sparkleberry's preschool. All of the teachers at the school are amazing, but especially Teacher Kim. She is a very special lady, has such a wonderful rapport with both the parents & children, & we are going to miss her immensely! We have thoroughly enjoyed our time there these past few years, and are super sad that Ashby cannot finish out her last year of preschool there.
Congratulations, Princess Ballerina, on an amazing performance! You did a SUPERB job at the Backyard Circus! Daddy, Mommy & sissy are so proud of you & love you very much!!!
