Today I am thankful for Ashby's preschool. The school is great, the teachers are amazing, and the entire atmosphere is wonderful. Kennedy absolutely loved preschool & I am thrilled that Ashby does too.
Today was a very special day for our baby girl. It was finally her turn to be Star of the Day! She was not thrilled that they went in alphabetical order, but backwards, when choosing each Star of the Day. Having a last name toward the beginning of the alphabet has it's disadvantages, and this was definitely one of them.
She chose to put her beloved Barbie in the box to share with her class. She said she had a great day, though could not recall what she did during those 2 1/2 hours. But she did say she she loved being the song leader, book chooser, line leader, & special person of the day! And of course she's already talking about when she gets the box and gets to be the Star of the Day again. Ha!

ReplyDeleteIt was hilarious because my nephew's preschool does star of the week...and they go in alphabetical order too, but he didn't really understand that and my brother made a big deal about "winning" star of the week. So every week Sawyer would come home and say "nope, not this week" until one week it was his turn and the teacher said when she announced his name he threw his hands in the air and cheered "yes, I did it!" lol....he was so proud to finally "win" ;-)
