Today was Ashby's last day of preschool! Where did the year go?! It's hard to believe that just 9 months ago, our baby girl was starting the first day, of her very first year of school.
And now today?! Our baby girl has grown up, no longer looking like a little toddler, but a young girl! She has matured so much this past school year. Not just physically, but academically & socially we well.
Look at this side by side comparison. Wow! What a difference a year makes!!!
She had a great last day, but it was so sad to say good-bye to her teachers. As the teachers walked Ashby to the car I heard one of them say 'we (Teacher Kim & Teacher Stacy) are both going to take you to the car because this is the last time we are ever going to see you again.' Ugh. Dagger through the heart! Hearing them say that makes it so official. We really aren't coming back to Sparkleberry's next year.
To celebrate a great year & the last day of school, I took Ashby out for a little treat. She wanted to go to Cold Stone for some ice cream, which is so weird to me, because the girl is sooo picky about her ice cream! She went in wanting strawberry, but after trying both raspberry & strawberry ice cream, and not liking either of them, she went back to her favorite. The only ice cream she really even likes. Plain ole' vanilla. With marshmallows on top.

This description may describe how she likes her ice cream, but this definitely does not describe our little girl & her very colorful personality! Ha!
Congratulations, Ashby Grace, on a wonderful first year of preschool! You did amazing & we are so proud of how much you've learned & grown this past year! We cannot wait to see what is in store for you in Pre-Kindergarten next year! We love you & look forward to a super fun Summer together!
