Today, Kennedy's school had their Awards Assembly. Kindergarten--7th Grade gathered in the big gym & students were acknowledged for their academic excellence, athletics & display of Godly character throughout the school year.
I am proud to say that Kennedy earned THREE awards today! She earned two different Shining Light awards. One from the playground staff & one from Mr. Graham, the principal. This award is given to those who display a Godly character to their classmates, peers & to everyone they encounter. And she also earned an Academic Excellence award, for being in the top of her class academically.
I have never been more proud! To see her walk to the front, with a big smile on her face, proudly accepting these awards made me so happy! Marc & I know what a special person she is, but to hear it from the principal & CCA staff, just makes my heart so happy!
We are so very proud of you, Kennedy Rae, and all of your accomplishments this past school year! Congratulations on earning these awards at the awards assembly today!
And one last picture to share. This is Kennedy's best friend, Rhema. Rhema & her family hold a very special place in our hearts and we are going to miss them so much when we move to TX. I foresee lots of phone calls, letter writing, and visits in our future! And we still are holding out hope that, one day, they will move to TX too! :)
