Star of the Day, Part II

After what felt like an eternity, (it was only 2 months!) Ashby's turn to be Star of the Day at her preschool finally arrived!  Leading up to this momentous day, Ashby would come to the car at the end of every school day with a sad face saying it's not my turn to be Star of the Day again.  Poor girl wants to be Star of the Day every day!!!

TODAY was finally her special day!  With box (and secret surprise) in tow, baby girl could not wait to go to school this morning!
She was the song & line leader, got to wear a special pin & even got to ring the very special clean up bell at the end of the school day.  By the excitement in her voice upon telling me about everything she did today, you would have thought it was Christmas & her birthday all rolled into one!

She decided to bring one of her My Little Ponies to share with class.  But before the class got to see what she brought, they had to guess what was in the box by Ashby's clues.  So this morning before school we went over some clues she could give.  Here were her ideas: it is hard.  and pink.  and a My Little Pony.  Ha!  The first two were great clues, but I had to put a kibosh on the third one.  She wasn't very forthcoming when I asked after school what her clues were, but she did say that somebody guessed it was a lizard and somebody else guessed it was a unicorn.  So maybe she did leave clue #3 out!

The Star of the Day had a great day at school today & she is already talking about when it will be her special day again!  

And so the countdown begins.  Again...
