Happy Fall!
Kennedy was quick to inform us this morning that today was the first day of Fall, and what a day it was! After quite a storm the other day, that lasted a good 24 hours & resulted in about 5 inches of rain, we have been experiencing a nice reprieve from the TX heat!
Yesterday we actually opened the windows for a few hours in the morning. A first since our move to TX over 2 months ago!
And this afternoon, we had another first! The first time we were able to go outside, in the afternoon, to play! It sounds funny to say that, but with temps in the 90-100's, it's just been too hot for the girls to play outside. But not today!
The girls had a blast riding their bikes, playing chalk, blowing bubbles & hitting and playing catch with Daddy. We also met some new neighbors moving into the neighborhood next month, who also have girls ages 4, 6, & 8. Yay! I'm so excited to see our neighborhood filling up with families who have children they same age as ours!
We spent a good two hours outside this afternoon & it was wonderful! I told Marc this gets me excited for Fall in TX. I see many many afternoons & evenings outside playing with the girls, and I cannot wait!
Happy Fall, Y'all!
