Phew! What a day! A day that started at 5:45 am EST (2:45 am PST...OMG!) and is just ending at 11:00 pm EST. It was a super fun day filled with activities, eating & lots and lots of walking!
We woke up bright an early & worked out at the hotel gym, and then went to a nice Welcome Breakfast that Scentsy had for us. Lots of yummy food & connecting with other (and meeting new) consultants.
After breakfast we headed to one of Scentsy's Fragrance Houses, Agilex, to learn more about how fragrances are created.
How beautiful is the Manhattan skyline on the way to Agilex?!
The Fragrance House tour was awesome! We met the creators of Luna, My Dear Watson, Hello Yellow & Sunny & Share. And learned step by step how fragrances are created, evaluated & brought to Orville & Heidi for consideration. We smelled some potential fragrances for the Fall/Winter 2014 Catalog & received an exclusive bar from them! I am so glad we were asked to go on this tour!
When we got back from the tour, we went to try & get Broadway tickets for tonight. Unfortunately, we were not able to get any reasonably priced tickets for the show we wanted to see, Book of Mormon, but we were able to get some for Thursday night. Yay!
And then we did a bunch of touristy things. Like visiting Carlo's Bakery in NY...Cake Boss Cafe!
And visiting Marc's favorite TV channel...Fox News Channel!
Going to the NBC Experience Store!
And briefly walking around Rockefeller Center (we have an official tour on Thursday)!
We then came home to relax a bit & Face Time the girls. And see what special gifts Scentsy left for us! We are so spoiled by them!
Unfortunately, Face Time with the girls was cut short as we got a call from our realtor that someone wanted to come & look at our house. So Grandpa, Grandma & the girls had to leave ASAP. I am happy to report that the person loved our house & is bringing her husband back on Thursday for him to tour our home. Fingers crossed that they love it as much as we do & they put in an offer!!!
We have heard from many people that we should go to the top of Rockefeller Center (rather than the top of the Empire State Building) to view the city, and to go around 7:30 pm so that we could watch the sun begin to set. So that is what we did. And oh my goodness, what a view! Simply breathtaking!
Next, we headed to dinner. It was recommended that we try John's Pizzeria at some point during our trip, so that is where we went. And it did not disappoint! So delicious!
And then headed back to Cake Boss Cafe for dessert! Yum!!!
What a great (and delicious) way to end a fun filled day!
We have another action packed day tomorrow!!!

Its fun seeing what you are doing. I have been to Carlo's bakery. Didn't get anything to taste. The line was too long when we went. The book of Mormons I have been trying to see but can never get tickets. Can't wait to see the rest of your posts.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the two of you in the voice chair. Looks & sounds like you are having an amazing time. Luna and Hello Yellow are two of my favorites that must have been so much fun! Can't wait to hear about the rest!
