Before our vacation, Kennedy came home all excited from school saying she had learned how to jump rope. She grabbed one of our jump ropes & proceeded to try to jump rope for me. Baby girl tried but couldn't do more than two jumps, when her school friends were jumping 'like 27 times'. I praised her for what she could do, and encouraged her to keep practicing & that she would definitely get better with more practice.
Then we left for vacation. And no jump roping was done for those next 9 days.
Fast forward to a couple of days ago, and she pulled out the jump rope once again. She practiced for like 5 minutes, and this is what I witnessed:
To say I was shocked is an understatement! She improved dramatically since the last time I saw her jump rope! And she never practiced another time from that first time I saw her! Amazing!
She went to school yesterday & couldn't wait to show her friends.
And today? She came home doing a new trick with that jump rope!
Impressive!
And slightly jealous.
I'm sure if I tried to jump rope, I'd fail after just one jump. Ha!
