Farmer Kennedy

Hi y'all!

That sounds so weird!  I only have 3 months to get used to saying that!  Ha!

Thank you all of your kind comments & emails.  We knew this move to Dallas would come eventually, as 7-Eleven Corporate is in Dallas, we just weren't expecting it to happen this fast.  Funny how when you are finally feeling at peace & comfortable with everything--where you live, your church, school & friends, your job, etc.--God let's out a big laugh & shake things up a bit!  But we know this move is a good thing & we are excited for our new adventure in Texas!!!

In honor of Earth Day, Kennedy's school celebrated Creation Day/Farmer Day.  All of the kids were to dress up like a farmer & bring a perennial to plant in front of their classroom.

Here is Farmer Kennedy, not ecstatic about the blue bandana.  But Mama, farmers wear RED bandanas, not blue ones!

Can I just say how ecstatic I was that little girls in her class had on pink AND yellow bandanas this morning at drop of?!

And when I came to pick Kennedy up from school this afternoon, I was impressed with how many perennials had been planted!  It looks like every grade participated & all of the flowers and plants really spruced up the front of the building!  Here is just one of the beautiful flower beds!

Earth Day in Washington was a good one!  Not an ounce of rain & sunshine throughout most of the day!  Days like today make me realize how much I really am going to miss this place!

Until tomorrow when the rain starts again.  Then I will be counting down the days until we leave!  Ha!
