6-Year Well Child Visit

With our big vacation last month, I was a bit behind taking Kennedy to her 6-year well child check up. So yesterday afternoon, I took her in for her yearly visit with Dr. Stephens.

The peanut is still a peanut, weighing in at 35 pounds & 42 inches long.  She remains in the 5th-10th percentile, but gained four pounds since last year & grew 2 1/2 inches.  I think it's safe to say she is going to be short, just like her Mama!

She passed her vision & hearing test with flying colors.  I get nervous before every vision test because both Marc & I got glasses at a very young age (3-4), and while Marc's vision is normal now, I still continue to wear contacts & cannot see without them.  Praise God that Kennedy's vision remains at 20/20!

Dr. Stephens said that our baby girl is perfect!  At one point he even said, 'man, this is a really boring appointment!'  Ha!  And I am perfectly fine with that!  I'd much rather have a boring appointment than one with a lot of issues.  Right?!

And the best part?  No shots!  Kennedy Rae was beyond thrilled to learn she doesn't need to get shots again until she is 11!  Music to her little ears!

And with that, we were given a pass to come back every 2 years.  So as long as our baby girl remains healthy, we will not be back again until she is 8!  Holy cow!   Time needs to s-l-o-w down!!!

  1. yay! Raya gets "shorter" (percentile wise) with every appt. haha...she's 40 inches and has been stuck there awhile now! However we call her our little square, because she's also 40lbs :-P

Kennedy looks perfect to me! Raya would be jealous to hear about her not getting shots though---this year is Raya needs ALL the shots for school!
