Last year, in my first year with Scentsy, I won an all expense paid trip to the Dominican Republic. It was an amazing trip! One that Marc & I never would have taken on our own & it was truly a trip of a lifetime. Scentsy spoiled us & we had an amazing time.
I was blessed to win another free trip again this year. I know. Two years in a row. Who gets an amazing opportunity like this, not once, but twice?! I am so blessed to work for such an amazing company, and to have such wonderful customers, hosts & team. Somebody pinch me.
The awesome thing about this year's trip though? We, the consultants, got to choose where we wanted to go!
6 amazing locations to choose from!!!!
Right away, Marc & I said Hawaii! Hands down. We went to Kauai for our honeymoon & had a fabulous time, and were excited to Honolulu!

But then we got the details about each trip. And I quickly had my heart set on another location. Here are some details about our new coveted vacation spot:
Hotel Information: The Waldorf Astoria New York
Group Activities:
• Wednesday Dinner on the Spirit of New York
Wednesday night we’ll see New York from the water. We’ll dine on The Spirit of New York, cruising by the Statue of Liberty, beneath
the Brooklyn Bridge, and past the South Street Seaport.
• Friday Game at Yankee Stadium
We’ll indulge in America’s pastime with a baseball game as the New York Yankees take on the Toronto Blue Jays. Who wants some
peanuts and Cracker Jacks?
Thursday Optional Activities:
• Ellis Island Tour
“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free ... ” That’s just what the world did at Ellis Island, sending
17 million immigrants through the gates of New York to the United States of America. The boat ride across New York Harbor to Ellis
Island offers splendid panoramas of the lower Manhattan skyline and brushes past the Lady in the Harbor, who stands 151 feet tall on an
80-foot pedestal. The Statue of Liberty has welcomed visitors to U.S. shores for more than 125 years, and is known around the world as
a symbol of freedom and liberty. Most people don’t realize, however, that the best photos of the statue are actually from the boat and not
on Liberty Island. You will disembark at the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, which pays tribute to the millions of brave individuals who fled oppression to
start over in the New World. Visit the Baggage and Registration Hall, where 40 percent of Americans can trace an ancestor’s arrival.
Fascinating exhibits explain the history of the people who came to begin new lives in a city of “streets paved with gold.”
• Manhattan Film & TV Tour
Not a day goes by without a major film or television show being shot on the streets of New York City. It’s been the home to “Friends,”
“Seinfeld,” “Sex in the City,” “Law and Order,” “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “Home Alone,” and “The Godfather”. Visit the famous
locations of many movies and TV shows, as well as daily television news shows. Visit the home of the “Soup Nazi” and see the table
“Where Harry Met Sally” at Katz’s Delicatessen. And be prepared for some entertainment trivia!
• Shopping Shuttle
Isn’t it time you owned something from Tiffany & Co.? Or perhaps your own Cartier? Don’t stop there! You’ll be shuttled around
Manhattan, making stops at some of the top shopping areas in the city where guests can shop all day! We can even drop you off at
F.A.O. Schwartz so you can indulge your inner child.
• Nieuw Amsterdam to New York
Discover how New York became what it is today. The tour will include a visit to Battery Park, where the first Dutch settled in a town
they called Nieuw Amsterdam. Then a visit to the New York Stock Exchange, the exact spot where President George Washington was
sworn in, and where President Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous Cooper Union address. You will also learn how the grid street
system was established. Next, visit the National September 11 Memorial with an associate of the NYPD/FDNY who will provide
detailed, intimate knowledge of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the aftermath of that historic day.
• Rockefeller, Radio City, and Grand Central
This tour takes an in-depth look at the heart of Manhattan. You will visit Grand Central Station (the city’s most magnificent public
interior), Rockefeller Center (the largest and most prosperous business complex in the world), and Radio City Music Hall.
• Bike Tour of Central Park
Hop on a bicycle and take a ride through one of the most beautiful parks in the world with expert guides. This bicycle ride includes some
of the park’s treasures, such as John Lennon’s memorial, Bethesda Fountain, and the Great Lawn.
• Lower East Side Tasting Tour
Nosh is Yiddish for snack. Join us for some noshing while we explore the Lower East Side, the melting pot of today’s and yesterday’s
New York immigrants. This is where the teeming masses landed after passing through Ellis Island. Filled with the sights and sounds and
— most importantly — the smells of ethnic cooking, this tour features the cultures and cuisines of some of our ancestors. Savor knish or
kosher dill on Orchard Street, dim sum in Chinatown, cannoli in Little Italy, and plantains on Avenue B.
Staying at the Waldorf Astoria? Seeing the Statue of Liberty, visiting Ground Zero, and exploring other 'must see' attractions in New York? Possibly being in the outside crowd of the Today Show & being an audience member with Live! with Kelly & Michael? Eating our way through NYC? Attending an MLB game?
Yes, please!!!
The more Marc & I talked about it, the more our hearts were set on New York. Plus this is somewhere we would never would take the girls. I'm sure in future years we will take a vacation with them to Hawaii, but NYC is never a place we'd take two young girls to. This is like a once in a lifetime opportunity!
So tomorrow, when registration opens up, I will be selecting The Big Apple for our FREE trip!
Thank you Scentsy, for another amazing opportunity! I am truly blessed to work for such a generous company who gives more than they take & who is so wonderful about recognizing their consultants for their hard work. We cannot wait for this once in a lifetime trip in May!!!
