I've done A Day In The Life posts before. Not because I think anyone at all cares about what I do as a stay-at-home Mama. I do these posts to remind myself how crazy wonderful my life is with our two young girls, a successful Scentsy business & a hard working (and handsome, I might add) husband.
So without further ado, here is what myhectic fun Wednesday looked like!
So without further ado, here is what my
5:00 am: my alarm went off bright & early this morning. As much as I didn't want to, I dragged myself out of bed & did a workout video. My life is so busy, that if I don't do it bright & early, a lot of times it never gets done. And exercising for me makes me a much happier wife & Mama.
6:40 am: I got Kennedy up, made her breakfast & lunch for school.
6:50 am: Marc got Ashby up, and I made her breakfast. While the two of them ate, I finished getting ready for the day. And Marc left for work.
7:00 am: I got both girls ready for the day.
7:40 am: the three of us left to take Kennedy to school.
8:00 am: Ashby & I ran to Target to buy cupcake mix for Kennedy's Valentine's Day party at school on Thursday. I volunteered to make 24 cupcakes.
9:00 am: dentist appointment for Ashby. She did awesome with both the cleaning & x-rays! Everything looked great. No sugar bugs, Mama & Daddy are doing a great job cleaning & flossing her teeth, and she doesn't need to be seen again for another 6 months!
{The doctor will see you now! Her prize (by her request!) for being such a good patient!}
10:00 am: gymnastics class for Ashby.
11:00 am: Ashby & I ran a couple of errands after gymnastics class.
12:00 pm: back home & lunch time!
1:00 pm: Ashby went down for rest time. Even though she is sick with a cold & it is painfully obvious that she is tired, she refused to nap & just played upstairs in the playroom. During rest time, I worked on my Scentsy duties, emailing customers, connecting with my team, and making important phone calls.
2:40 pm: Ashby & I went to pick Kennedy up from school.
3:15 pm: back home & time to work on the girls' Valentine's Day cards for their class. Yes, Mama is a slacker & we are working on them the day before Valentine's Day. Ha!
4:00 pm: I started to tackle cleaning the house. Papa & Grammy are coming for Grandparent's Day at Kennedy's school tomorrow, so I want the house to look presentable shiny & clean!
4:30 pm: Marc & Kennedy left for swim lessons. But not before a pit stop at Costco for juice boxes for Ashby's Valentine's Day party. We usually leave at 4:15 pm for lessons, but since Ashby is sick & not going today, they don't have to be at lessons until 5:30 pm. I continued to clean & vacuum while Ashby plays Wii Wipe Out.
5:30 pm: dinner for Ashby & me.
6:00 pm: bath time for Ashby. She is super cranky, not feeling well, and ready for bed!
6:30 pm: Kennedy came back from lessons & I gave her a bath while Marc vacuumed the stairs (that vacuum cleaner is too heavy for this Mama).
7:00 pm: bed time for the girls. I finished up the Valentine's Day cards for school tomorrow.
8:30 pm: I put together some Valentine's Day goodies for the girls & Marc.
9:00 pm: plop myself on the couch, turn on HGTV & stare at my laptop. This mama is T-I-R-E-D!!!
I'm off to bed soon, ready to get a good night sleep, and do it all over again tomorrow! It's a busy, crazy, hectic life right now. But I wouldn't trade it for the world!!!

Thanks for the peek at your day. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. The girls' Valentines are super cute, and this former teacher LOVES Kennedy's D'Nealian handwriting! :)
I absolutely love reading these! Although sometimes it makes me feel like a slacker. You got a lot more done than I do in a normal day. But hopefully as the kids get older, it will get easier :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day. Love the gummy worm idea :)
