Happy (Belated) Valentine's Day!
When I woke Kennedy up from school on Thursday morning, she immediately jumped out of bed & grabbed her presents & card she had gotten for me. She picked the card out all by herself, made a Valentine card holder, and bought some yummy chocolates for me! This girl seriously has a heart of gold. She was so excited to read the card to me & give me my gifts. I am so blessed to have such a caring little girl with a generous heart.
Ashby, on the other hand, spend the majority of the day like this.
Baby girl had a nasty cold, cough & fever. And was in no mood to celebrate Valentine's Day. She did, however, perk up a bit once the Motrin kicked in. But when it wore off, she was back to her pitiful self. I felt so bad for her, but will admit, I loved all of the extra cuddles I have gotten these past few days. Today was the first day she has felt good & is back to her spunky self, which I love! I hate when my girls are sick!
Thursday was also Grandparent's Day at school & we were thrilled that Papa & Grammy were able to make the trip down. Kennedy was thrilled to take them to school & show them off to her Kindergarten class, teacher & friends!
Hubby spoiled me too! A beautiful card & delicious chocolate covered strawberries. Well, I guess I should be honest. The strawberries weren't that good. They did not taste like strawberries at all. Marc said they tasted like they had alcohol in them. Weird. But he called & was able to get his money back, so that was good. And really it is the thought that counts, and I really appreciate him spoiling me on Valentine's Day....and every other day of the year as well.
Unfortunately my mom was already coming down with a nasty cold before they came to visit, and just got worse as the day progressed, so they had to cut their trip short & head home early. And Ashby has lovingly passed her germs to Marc & I, so we are all fighting the bug too. Yep. We are a nasty, germ infested house right about now.
But overall, it was a great Valentine's Day filled with the people that I love!

Sounds like u had a great day!
