Marc texted me these words last night at soccer practice. Actually, these were his exact words:
He said he was freezing during Kennedy's soccer practice & was is so frustrated that we are already into May & the weather is still so cold. Last night at practice it was barely 50 degrees.
And this morning at Kennedy's soccer game wasn't much better either. No sun, and plenty of wind & frigid temperatures. Poor Kennedy was dressed in so many layers that she looked like the Michelin Man!
And Ashby just wanted to snuggle for most of the game because my head is super cold! That is what she kept telling me throughout the game. And I couldn't agree more!
After living in WA for 5 years, Marc & I have realized that we NEED sun & warm weather. Only having nice weather for 2-3 months out of the year is not enough for us. We need more!!!
Dallas, TX is most likely our next move for Marc's job. I know that no city/state is perfect, but this weather looks divine right about now!
Not necessarily the clouds & the thunderstorms. Ha! But 70's, 80's & even 90's?! Yes, please! These temperatures definitely beat the 50's we had today!
We also dream of the day we can move back to Idaho. I lived there for 10 years & loved it! Not only did I love the city, but I LOVED the weather too! We had 4 seasons but nothing extreme. Not too much snow, nor rain, nor extreme heat. It was perfect! Look at these current temperatures.
Yep. I could definitely get used to these temperatures! And look, no rain!!!
Ultimately, I don't know where we will end up living. But there is one thing I DO know. We WILL NOT be living here in WA forever! That is a promise!
So tell me, where would your dream place be to live?

haha...I have a very small temperature range that makes me happy. So I'd need to move somewhere that had year-round temps ranging from 65 degrees to 75 degrees :-) Anything lower and I'm too cold, and anything higher and I'm too hot!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I do love myself an occassional snow, as long as I don't have to drive in it...
I've been to Dallas and Idaho and both were really nice!
I like where I am. I like the snow and the different changes in the seasons. I don't like HOT so I wouldnt like Texas. In NJ we only get one or two months that are really hot ~high 80's and thats fine with me. I have never been to Idaho. I like I would like California or someplace where its in the 70's most of the time.
