Mama & KK Time

Ever since Kennedy found out that Ashby got to have a McDonald's McFlurry the other day, she's been bugging me to take her to get one too.  Baby girl was not pleased when she heard about Ashby's special treat.  We had plans today to go & get her some new Summer clothes, so I decided to make a little date of it.  Just me & my baby girl.  We've been in need of some special one on one time, & today was a perfect day to do it!

On our way out of the neighborhood, I asked her where she'd like to go first.  She mentioned that she was hungry, so I asked what she wanted to eat.  At first she told me to surprise her, but then not a moment later she said she wanted Cold Stone ice cream.  I asked her if she wanted to get a Slurpee instead, or a McFlurry like her sister, but she was insistent that we go to Cold Stone.  I guess she didn't want to be outdone by her little sister.  Ha!

At Cold Stone, we enjoyed some vanilla ice cream with M&Ms, sprinkles & hot fudge.  The first three were Kennedy's choice, and the hot fudge was mine. I tried to get her to choose chocolate ice cream but she wasn't having it, so the hot fudge was a compromise. :)

We finished our treat in no time flat!  Baby girl has a sweet tooth just like her Mama!  Next we headed to Kohl's for a little retail therapy.  I was surprised at how into shopping she got, helping me pick out outfits, and being very vocal about what she liked & didn't like.  I guess gone are the days of Mama getting to choose all of her outfits.

I just love Kohl's!  They have such a cute collection for little girls, and you can't beat their prices!  It seems like everything is always on sale plus I had a 20% off coupon.  So although we bought a ton of clothes, our total with the sales & discounts, made our grand total not as bad as it could of been.  Baby girl got some super cute clothes for Summer!

Our last stop on our little date was to the nail salon.  She wanted a pedicure & manicure like Ashby Grace got.  She was so serious during her pedicure.  This was the first time soaking her feet & all of the other special treatment you get with pedicures, so she was intently taking everything in.  At the end, though, she said she loved it & cannot wait to do it again!

I had such a great time with my first born today.  It isn't often that we get to spend time together alone, without Daddy or little sister, so today was very special or us.  She is growing up so fast & I want to make sure that I treasure these little moments that we have together.  I cannot wait to have another Kennedy & Mama date again soon!
