Sunday was Ashby's 3rd Birthday! Still hard to believe my baby is three! I know I say it a lot, but seriously, where does the time go?!
The birthday girl awoke to Marc, Kennedy & I running into her room screaming Happy Birthday. And a camera in her face. Not to sure what she thought of all of the commotion so early in the morning.

She was super excited to see birthday streamers hanging from her door.
As soon as she got downstairs we let he open a few presents. Ashby was spoiled with gifts this year (and every year, really) so we let her open a few of her gifts right away. She received a tea set, clothes & puzzles from Papa & Grammy, Zhu Zhu pets from Grandpa & Grandma, and Barbie princesses, more Zhu Zhu pets & a puzzle from her aunts, uncles & cousins. See what I mean?! Spoiled rotten! She LOVED everything!
But you know what her most favorite gift was?!
Yep! An Alvin & the Chipmunks singing card! Baby girl hasn't put this card down since she got it! Open & close. Open & close. Open & close. She loves listening to the song that they sing over and over (and over and over) again!
After breakfast it was time to get ready to go to a birthday party. Her friend, Avery, is just a day younger than Ashby, and was having her birthday party that morning at the Little Gym.
The girls had a blast! But in usual Ashby fashion, she didn't want to do anything by herself, so Marc followed the birthday girl around running, clapping, & stomping around. He's such a great Daddy!
After the party we headed home, fully intending to put the girls down for rest time. But it was an exceptionally nice day out so we skipped rest time & played at the park and went to the nearby pond to look for ducks.
When we came back to the house, we put the girls upstairs to rest & watch a movie, while we Marc put together Ashby's present from us.
Ashby LOVED her Princess dollhouse! Her & Kennedy have already spent countless hours playing with their Princess barbies in the dollhouse. I think it is safe to say that Daddy & Mommy did a very good selecting Ashby's present! :)
After playing for a bit, we headed out for Ashby's birthday dinner. She couldn't decide between Red Robin & Olive Garden, but after a little persuading from Mommy (OG sounded delicious to me!), she decided that she wanted to eat at Olive Garden for her birthday.
The girls enjoyed Macaroni & Cheese, salad, bread sticks, grapes & oranges for dinner. And then the birthday girl got a sweet surprise. A bowl of ice cream & a Happy Birthday serenade from Daddy, Mommy & Kennedy!
When we got home we asked Kennedy to take a picture of Daddy & Mommy with the birthday girl. We were pleasantly surprised with Kennedy's picture taking skills!
And there you have it! The end of our big birthday weekend! And now I am exhausted. I feel like I need a week just to recover. Ha!
But seriously, Ashby & I had a wonderful weekend and feel so blessed to have such wonderful family & friends who showered us with birthday love!

Aw! Happy Birthday Ashby! So cute!!!
