Sweet Moments

Thank you all so very much for your kind words & prayers for Rachael & Greyson.  My entire family really appreciates all of the love & supports Rachael, Brian, Greyson & our entire family has received over this past week.

Rachael is doing well.  She is sore & tired, which is all very much expected.  But she was able to sit up in a wheelchair yesterday, get outside for some fresh air & hold Greyson for the first time.  Her blood pressure & liver enzyme levels are dropping as they should, so that is a VERY good thing.  She is expected to go home Saturday or Sunday, depending on how her recovery continues to go.

Greyson is doing great too!  He is such a rock star!  They decreased his CPAP levels yesterday, and although he was working a little harder to breathe, he is tolerating it fairly well.  The doctors told R & B that Greyson might hit a plateau today with his breathing progress, but that it is normal and may get a bit worse before it gets better.  They also started Greyson on feeds yesterday, which from my understanding, he is tolerating well.  Light therapy was started today to help get rid of his jaundice.

Brian has been soo good about sending updates & pictures to us regularly.  Such an awesome brother-in-law!  Here are some recent pictures & videos...

Look How Tiny He Is!

Isn't he just precious??!!  I pray that God continues to protect Greyson as his little body continues to develop & grow.  He has a long road ahead of him in the NICU (6-8 weeks), but I know he is a fighter & is going to be just fine!  Grow, Greyson!  Grow!

If you would like to continue to watch Greyson's progress, head on over to Rachael's blog and become a follower.  She will be updating regularly during his stay in the NICU.
