My top priority for yesterday was to purchase Father's Day cards. I really needed to get them sent off so they would make it to all of our special Father's by Sunday. Shopping, let alone card shopping, is never easy with my girls. Someone is always grabbing something they shouldn't be touching, or running in the opposite direction, or screaming at the top of their lungs out of protest (most, if not all of these, are Ashby). Shopping with Kennedy & Ashby is always an 'adventure'.
So before we left for Target, I bribed them with a special treat (I'm soo not above bribing!) if they were good girls while we went card shopping. And wouldn't you know it, they were very well behaved! Score one for Mommy!
Their special treat was Color Bath Dropz!
My girls are probably the last kids on the planet to get these cool water changing tablets! Unfortunately, Ashby has an intense fear of bubbles (remember this post??!!). She usually freaks out if there is anything in the bathtub, so I have been very hesitant to buy these for the girls. But yesterday, I took the plunge & I am happy to say that Ashby loved them!
The girls decided they wanted the water to be purple, so per the back of the tub it said to add a red & blue tablet.
Umm, do you see a blue AND red tablet in this tub of Bath Dropz??!!
Yeah, I didn't either. So I just threw in an 'orange' & blue one. And this is what happened.
So I guess 'orange' is really yellow. Which means 'purple' is really red. Weird. Luckily, the girls were satisfied with their water turning green. Here are my happy girls enjoying their green bath.
{Wouldn't be a picture without Kennedy having her eyes closed!}
'Daddy' & 'Sarah' even got in on the fun. Ashby said that Daddy was swimming with his goggles on. Looks like he is doing the dead man's float to me!
And Kennedy said that Daddy & Sarah were sharing some soup because their tummies hurt.
After about 30 minutes of fun, someone had to abruptly end the playing & laughter (hint: Kennedy) by dumping a whole bucket of water into that small cup pictured above (even though mommy told her numerous times not to). Of course the water went ALL over the floor. This little incident caused mommy to raise her voice & end bathtime immediately.
{The two big bath towels needed to clean up the mess}
Do you think Kennedy was fazed about what she did & how upset mommy was? Here is how the conversation went. You be the judge...
While I'm cleaning up the big puddles of water...
Kennedy: 'Are you happy now? Mommy, smile! Mommy, show me your pretty teeth!'
After mommy has cleaned up the mess & calmed down a bit...
Mommy: Kennedy, mommy is sorry that she raised her voice at you. Do you know why I got upset?
Kennedy: No
Mommy: Because you dumped that huge bucket of water onto the floor when mommy told you many times not to.
Kennedy: Oh
Mommy: Do you like when mommy gets upset at you & raises her voice?
Kennedy: Yep. I like to yell really loud & I like when you do too!
*Sigh* I do not know what I am going to do with this girl! It is a good thing I love her so much!!!
The Bath Dropz were a huge hit with the girls & they are already talking about what color they want their bath water to be tonight! The best $3.99 I spent in a long time!!!

How fun, your bath drops look like a blast. I bet my son would absolutely love those.
