I've mentioned multiple times before how different Kennedy & Ashby are! Marc & I joke around that it is hard to believe that they even came from the same two people. They, literally, are like night & day.
One difference between the two of them is their degree of femininity. Kennedy has never really been into the stereotypical 'girl' things: dress up, jewelery, high heels, make-up, princesses, etc. She prefers to play with Hot Wheels & kick around a soccer ball . While Ashby likes to kick around a soccer ball too, she LOVES to be girly & play dress up; wearing high heels & her princess crown, carrying her purse around, and layering on the jewelery.
This is all so new to me! Growing up, I was more like Kennedy. I didn't like to wear dresses (I still don't!), I played sports, & didn't like to play with the typical 'girl' things. I love how Ashby has brought out a little more femininity in me. Recently, I have been trying out new shades of make-up, I'm actually trying on skirts when I go out shopping, & I am even trying to get out of my usual jeans & t-shirt attire for more feminine & cute outfits.
But what I really love is how my girls are each becoming their own person. I know I joke around about it, but I really do love how different they are. I would never want them to do or say the same things, or act the same exact way. They are each their own person. And I pray that as my girls get older they continue to be strong & confident women, embracing who they are as individuals, and not letting anyone try to change who they are & what they believe in. They are perfect just the way they are...girlie girl or not!

Love those pictures! I should give you some of our dress up dresses!
