Saturday night Marc & I got to go out on a date. Yay! We had set up this date & time awhile ago with the babysitter, so I was bummed when Kennedy woke up sick on Saturday. I figured we'd have to cancel. But as the day went on & she appeared to be feeling a bit better, we decided to still go. I talked to our babysitter, Jennifer, and updated her on Kennedy. She was totally fine with coming over to watch the girls. And the girls were super excited to have her come over & play. Kennedy actually cried when I told her we'd have to cancel since she was sick. They both LOVE Jennifer!
We got the girls bathed & fed, so all Jennifer had to do was play with the girls for a bit & get them into bed. And of course take a picture with our two little cuties! :)
Marc & I went out with a couple of our neighbor friends. We went to Fish Tale Brew Pub for dinner. The food wasn't great but we had a great time with our friends & it was so nice to have an adult conversation with no interruptions!When we got back the girls were sound asleep. Jennifer said they did great & were well behaved. She said Kennedy acted fine & did not complain about not feeling well. Such a relief as I was felt guilty about leaving her.
We are soo lucky to have found such a great babysitter that loves the girls as much as they love her! And it is so nice to be able to get out of the house & go on date nights with my man! Love it! Cannot wait for our next date night!

ReplyDeleteI wanted to get back to you about the camera question you asked. I actually have two cameras. The one I use day-to-day (and that has shot most of the pictures on the blog) is the Sony DSC-H20. I'm pretty sure it's been discontinued, though, and probably been replaced with something better. I got mine relatively cheap at Best Buy on clearance (after buying one off Amazon and then busting it a few months later-- UGH!) The SLR camera that we just got is the Canon Rebel EOS T2i. I honestly don't know a whole lot about it; it was a Christmas gift from my daddy-in-law, and he did the research before purchasing. But it seems to be very user-friendly, and the pictures that I've taken with it in manual mode have been pretty good. I'd love to take a class to learn more about using it, but am not sure when I'm going to be able to find the time in the near future!
