Another One Bites The Dust

Ugh.  I've got the crud.  The crud that the girls had last weekend.  Marc & I started to get it last week but mine seems to have gotten worse & worse.  It started with a cough, then went to a head cold, & this morning I woke up with a fever of 101.5.  Not good.  And Marc is out of town.  Double ugh.



The above picture was taken courtesy of Kennedy.  When she saw me laying on the couch this morning she said, "Mommy, you took pictures of me while I was sick.  Can I please take one of you now that you are sick?"  How could I say no to such an honest request?  She did pretty good with the picture, if I do say so myself.  Do we have a future photographer on our hands??

I decided I should probably head to the doctors since I was getting worse instead of better.  Unfortunately I didn't have a babysitter or neighbor to watch the girls so they came along with me.  And I have to say they were very well behaved.  It didn't hurt that there was a bribe of fruit snacks involved for good behavior. :)

Turns out I have a sinus infection.  First one ever.  Hopefully the antibiotics and nasal spray will get me feeling better soon.  I'm tired of being sick!

I was able to nap for a bit while the girls rested.  Kennedy was happy to see me sitting up & more 'alive' when she got up from rest time.  Another picture was requested.  This time she even got a little smile out of mommy.

The rest of the afternoon was low key.  The girls got along (for the most part) and played nicely together while I rested on the couch.  Hopefully the worst is behind me & after a good night's rest, I'll be feeling a lot better by morning. 

How can I not start feeling better when I've got these little cowgirls smiling at me??!!

Thank you Kennedy & Ashby for being such good little girls today while I wasn't feeling well.  Mommy loves you!
