Both of the girls have been taking swim lessons consistently since they were two years old. They have both made huge strides in their swimming & I am constantly amazed as I watch them progress.
I cannot believe that Kennedy can now swim! Like real swimming, with actual strokes! I was shocked the first time I saw her do it, and she just keeps getting stronger & stronger with each passing week. Since Marc has been out of town so much for work, I took a video for him. I wish I could have gotten her backstroke too, but the lifeguard was being a pool natzi tonight & enforcing that all parents be up in the stands & not near the water.
Ashby is also doing great! She is not the little fish like Kennedy is, and has taken a long time to get used to the water. For the longest time she wouldn't even put her face in, nor do bobs, or anything that remotely got her face wet. I blame it partly on her previous swim teacher. She had quite the crush on Teacher Wyatt & he did not push her very much.
Her current teacher, Teacher Hannah, is great about pushing Ashby to do things out of her comfort zone. And because Teacher Hannah is now pushing her, she is doing so much more! She now willingly puts her face in the water, bobs up & down, and she acts as though she might actually like swimming now! This is huge for our baby girl!
I'm hoping we find swim teachers in TX as great as the ones we have had here, and that the girls continue to progress with their swimming skills!
