It's hard to believe that in just 19 short days we will be closing on our new home in TX! Eeek! Marc is currently there working, so he stopped by the house yesterday & took some pictures! It's really coming along & I cannot wait to finally get there & see it all in person!
I really like the landscaping that they did! If you zoom in, you can see that they even planted flowers! In the two houses we have built, I have never had flowers planted for me. Third times the charm, I guess! I can already envision how the yard will look in 5-6 years, when everything starts to grow & mature. I love it!!!
The mudroom. I don't think I've been more excited about something, than I am with the mudroom! Ha! I can see the girls' backpacks hanging up there after school everyday. Instead of being shoved in the coat closet like they are here in WA.
The entry way & staircase. So pretty!
Our kitchen. I love how it all came together! Love the back splash. Love the granite. And Marc loves the hood. See those decorative pieces on each side of the hood? They slide out & are spice racks. Genius! I am sure he will show every single person that comes through our house. He just thinks its the neatest thing since sliced bread!
The media room. Media rooms are huge in TX. Like every house has one. Our plan is to not put the TV in the family room, and just have one upstairs in this room. It will be fun to get big comfy couches & have family movie nights in there together!
The community pool. I love that it is so close to us. And being in Phase 1 of this community, with only 5-7 other completed houses when we move in, we will literally have this pool to ourselves!
The kiddie pool. I see lots & lots of time spent at these two pools this Summer!
Marc took many other pictures for the girls & me, but they won't mean much to you. A snapshot of Kennedy's room & her bathroom, the same for Ashby's bedroom & bathroom, some light fixtures, a sink in the master bathroom, etc. We LOVE to see them, but I'm not sure you all would. Ha!
I'm a big mixed bag of emotions right now. While I'm super excited about our new adventure in TX, I am getting really sad about leaving everything here in WA. I wish I could just fast forward 3 weeks. I'm terrible with good byes & really am denial about leaving everything.
On another note, I just found out that the girls start school on August 13th! Holy moly, that's early! I think that is a good 3 weeks before WA schools start. The good news is that they will get out before Memorial Day next year, but I feel awful that they have less than a month of Summer break in TX before they go back to school.
Oh & have I mentioned that they will be in uniforms this school year?! How cute will that be?! There is nothing cuter than a little girl in a school uniform, with knee high socks, Mary Jane shoes, hair curled with big ole' bows in her hair! Come August 13th, that will be my girls! And I cannot wait!!!

The house looks great---love the pools!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I must disagree about the school uniforms...I think I would cry if we had them and I couldn't dress the girls up every day haha. (Although come middle school when they are moody and picking horrible things themselves anyways, then I might love them ;-)
I am IN LOVE with your house!!! And the spice rack IS pretty genius ;-) I'm with you, looking forward to school uniforms. I have a hard enough time picking out what I'm gonna wear every day, so I like the predictability of it all. Plus being a nurse I was used to wearing scrubs, so selecting ensembles is not my forte! Your girls are gonna be so cute! And those pools look heavenly.
ReplyDeletemy niece just moved to a new home in Dallas. In box me on facebook and tell me where you'll be. The outside of your home looks alittle similar to hers.
