Sneak Peek!

We went costume shopping after church on Sunday. In past years, I usually just go into Old Navy & let the girls pick out a warm costume.  You know, since it's usually raining & freezing cold every year on Halloween here in Washington.  But this year we did things a bit different.  i.e. Mama was a bit less Type A & tried to make it a fun experience for the girls.  Ha!

Kennedy went into the Halloween store insisting that she did not want to have the same costume as Ashby.  Marc & I were totally cool with that & let the girls roam the store in search of the perfect costume.

Ashby was immediately drawn to this!

We tried it on her, it fit perfectly, and boy did she look cute!  I'm not sure how we are going to layer her up & still make it look cute, but I'm trying not to worry about all of the little details.  Try being the key word.

Kennedy, on the other hand, decided she wanted to be this!

Ha!  This costume fits Kennedy perfectly!  And she looked adorable in it!  Plus I loved that it was going to keep her warm.  But as soon as she saw Ashby in her costume, she decided she no longer wanted to be an angry bird, but a purple witch instead.  So much for not wanting to match her baby sister!

And Marc & me?  We normally do not dress up for Halloween, but since this year we decided to participate in Trunk or Treat at church, we decided to change it up a bit & get into character.  The girls were so excited to help us pick out our Halloween costumes.

After much deliberation, Marc decided to be...

And I'm going to be his sidekick!

I'm so excited!  It's going to be a FUN Halloween!!!

  1. Cute! I'd just layer a long sleeve black shirt under the witch. My girls are doing the same thing. I'll probably have them layer one random long sleeve shirt first, and then top it off with a long sleeve shirt to match the costume. Walmart has a wide range of long sleeve shirt colors for less than $4 :-)
