It's All About D-A-D-D-Y!

I've mentioned before how Kennedy is totally a Daddy's girl.  Always had been & always will be.  At first I was envious, but then Ashby came around & she was a total Mama's girl, so I quickly became ok with it.

Well fast forward 3 1/2 years later, and I now have not one, but TWO girls who are best buds with their Daddy!

Here are how some of my conversations go with Ashby when Daddy isn't around...

Me: I love you Ashby!

Ashby: I love you too!  Oh, and Daddy too!

Me: Who loves you more than your Mama?

Ashby: Nobody!  Except maybe Daddy!

Ashby: crying in the middle of the night because her leg hurt

Me: I run in there.  What's wrong, baby?

Ashby: Where's my Daddy?  I want my Daddy to kiss my leg & make it feel better!

Seriously?!  What am I?!  Chopped liver?!

I am with the girls 24/7, take care of their every need throughout the day, am up with them in the middle of the night when they are sick, wash their clothes, make their meals, help them with their homework, brush their teeth, give them baths, am their chauffeur, their referee, the kisser of their boo boo's....

And that is how she responds?!

What's so cool about Daddy?!

Actually I know why they both love him so much!

He's an amazing father!  He plays with them, takes them on special Daddy-Daugther dates, helps with with soccer, t-ball & any other sport they are playing, teaches them how to to cross the monkey bars, does under dogs on the swings at the park, wrestles with them & plays chase with them, gives them baths, reads them books, & so much more!

He adores his girls & my heart skips a beat whenever I see him interact with them.

So while I may get a bit envious when all I hear day in & day out is Daddy this and Daddy that, I secretively LOVE that the girls adore their father as much as they do.  And truth be told, Daddy does too.  These two little girls have him wrapped around their itty bitty fingers!

The feelings are mutual.  That is for sure.

And just in case you haven't been able to tell how much the girls LOVE their Daddy.

Here is the pajamas they wanted to wear tonight.  They want to make sure that Daddy sees these on them when he comes home late tonight from his week long business trip.

Yep.  They are definitely Daddy's Princesses.

And you know what?!

I wouldn't have it any other way!
