Ashby Grace. She's a funny one. Both girls make me laugh, but my baby girl really makes me laugh. Even at times I shouldn't be laughing at her. At the dinner table, in the bath, when she is in trouble. That girl knows exactly how & when to put a smile on my face.
Take for example the other day. Look what I walked into after rest time.
An entire box of band aids opened & gone through, as well as colored activity tape undone, cut & scattered all across the room. It's hard to be mad at her when she matter a factly says that she had a hard time putting a band aid on her boo boo & that she was practicing her cutting with her safety scissors. Um, you think?!
Or yesterday when she insisted she wear her necklace to school & for the entire day.
Or as I glance across at her while she is coloring, and see that her legs are crossed, like a proper little lady. Wearing her kitty cat slippers of course.
But today has got to take the cake. Here is what I found when I went to get her up from rest time.
And a conversation that went a little something like this...
Mama, I have your special band aids! Can I please wear one? I see S & R ones, but where are the L ones? Mama, I want to wear an L one. Can you please find it for me?
Bahahahahahaha! OMG! I seriously could not not stop laughing! I've never once called them band aids so I have no idea where she came up with that word for them. Luckily none of them were opened, but she was certainly having fun & entertaining herself with them during rest time!
That baby girl of mine sure does make things fun around here!

Haha, how did she have any clue that they kind of are like band aids? Obviously she thinks quiet time consists of going through the medicine cabinet! Too cute
