Curly Q's!

Growing up, my mom used to put rollers in our hair before bed.  Every night those little pink sponge rollers would go in, and every morning we'd wake up with big bouncy curls.

Kennedy & Ashby both have little to no curl or wave in their hair.  Kennedy has some wave but it's not  a cute wave.  It's the one you need to straighten every morning to make her hair look cute.

So yesterday I decided to pick up some sponge rollers at Walmart.  Except they weren't pink.  They were an assortment of colors, depending on the size of the roller.  Yep, another difference.  When I was little, they had 'one size fits all' rollers.  Now, they have four different sizes, as well as an assortment of colors.  They've upgraded their sponge roller collection! :)

The rollers were super easy to put in.  I used the same technique my mom did when we were little.  Stick my fingers in a little plastic bathroom cup filled with water, wet the girls hair, and then in the rollers went.  It only took about 5-10 minutes to get both sets of rollers in.

I just love the above picture.  It totally reminds me of when my sisters & I were little.  I need to dig up some pictures of us with our pink sponge rollers in!

And this morning when they woke up?!

Perfect, little curls!  The girls slept great in them & loved how their hair looked after I took the rollers out.  Kennedy has already asked if we can put them back in tonight so her hair looks pretty for her first day of school tomorrow.  I'd say that the little sponge rollers were a big SUCCESS!!!
