We've had record temperatures this weekend. Average temperatures here in the Pacific Northwest during August is usually in the 70's, maybe a few days where we reach 80's. But rarely, and do I mean rarely, do we hit 90 degrees.
But not this weekend! Both days temperatures have gotten to be in the low-mid 90's! And with no air conditioning in the house, that makes it very hot around here!
To be honest, though, I really have not minded it. Yes, it's hot but I'd take this over the doom & gloom we have way to often around here! The hostess at Olive Garden last night said to us while we were leaving 'good night! Try to stay out of the heat! I do not like this weather at all!'
Not me! I'll take the high temperatures & heat any day over the rain!
Today, in honor of the hot weather, we pulled out the inflatable pool for the girls to play in after rest time. And since we take it out only a couple of times a year, the girls were thrilled to be able to play in it all afternoon!
And in usual Ashby fashion, her cute little tongue made it's appearance too!
It was a super fun afternoon & I'm secretly hoping this HOT weather stays around for a little while longer!!
