Ashby had her first t-ball game on Thursday. She looked oh so cute in her t-ball cap & t-shirt, which by the way was 5 sizes too big. Daddy improvised, though, & tied up the shirt with a rubber band & it worked great. And did I mention how adorable she looked?!
The game was a riot! Parents helped out on the field, guiding the kids from base to base. Each child got to take a turn up to bat & once they hit the ball, they got to run around all of the bases, while the other children piled on top of each other fighting for the ball. And usually the child up to bat just stood there after they hit the ball, not remembering that they needed to start running. It was super cute watching these 3 & 4-year olds as they learn the ins & outs of the game.
Ashby did great! She had two great hits & was so cute running the bases. And the permanent smile she had on her face as she ran around?! I think it is safe to say that she LOVES t-ball!
It was a great first game, with many more games to follow! I have a feeling it's going to be a fun, and entertaining, t-ball season!
