Our Fun Filled Weekend!

We just spent a wonderful weekend with my sister, nephew & brother-in-law in Portland.  We had so much fun with them & we all enjoyed lovin' on cutie patootie Greyson!

Marc had a golf tournament in Portland on Friday, so the girls & I decided to tag along and spend the day with my sister & nephew.  We didn't do much but the girls had a blast playing with Greyson (and all of his toys), and I had fun making him smile & laugh.  Auntie JJ got some good giggles out of him!

The girls LOVE their Auntie Rae Rae!  Kennedy is actually planning a trip in August to hang out with the Browns, all by herself!  Yep, Daddy, Mama & little sister aren't invited.  Auntie Rae Rae & Kennedy were talking about all of the fun things they are going to do together while she is there.  To say she is excited is an understatement!  August 20th cannot come soon enough!

On Saturday after Greyson's morning nap, we headed out to lunch & then on the tram up to OHSU.  

Love the blonde hair & blue eyes on all three of them!  The girls would LOVE to call G-G their little brother!  Well, maybe just Kennedy.  When we asked Ashby if she wanted a little brother she was quick to say NO!  I think she enjoys being the baby of the family. :)

The tram up to OHSU was fun.  The girls really enjoyed it!

Auntie Rae Rae?  Not so much.  She isn't a fan of heights & especially the swinging that the tram was doing for part of the ride.  Ha!

The girls enjoyed walking running around & looking out at the view of the city.  Got to love the not so pretty day we were having.  June Gloom for sure!

Saturday night we had over my good friend, Kate, & her husband, Chase.  It was so nice to be able to catch up with the two of them, and she looks fabulous!  She is 29 weeks pregnant with their first baby, a GIRL!, and she looks amazing!  I'm bummed I forgot to take pictures while they were there.  But we had a great visit with the two of them.  Well, mostly just Kate.  The boys were glued to the TV watching sports while the girls had a great time visiting in the Dining Room.  Ha!  But it was still GREAT seeing the two of them & I cannot wait to see Kate in July at her baby shower!

Today, we didn't do much.  Just lounged around & played with Greyson for much of the morning.  Oh, and R helped me sort through a lot of pictures.  My parents had boxes (and boxes and boxes) of pictures in their closet at home, and I offered to sort through them all.  Well, I didn't quite realize what an undertaking it would all be, so Rachael was gracious enough to help me finish sorting through them all.  We had so much fun looking back through old pictures.  I have some very interesting ones of myself that I'll have to post some time.  I sure was awkward cute!  

My mom is going to kill me but here is one of the pictures we came across.  Isn't she beautiful?!  We did have to laugh, though, when Kennedy said that Grammy looked like she was wearing Papa's clothes.  Ha!  Got to love those jeans!  Never the less, I am proud to show off my gorgeous mama!  And my Grandma (my Dad's mom) too!

Around 1:00 pm, we decided that we should probably head home.  We soo did not want to, but we knew if we waited much longer, traffic would be horrendous.  So we reluctantly said our good byes & got on the road.  But not before we took one last picture of the cousins together.

We cannot wait to see them again for the 4th of July & then at the end of July for Greyson's 1st Birthday!!!

Rachael, Brian & Greyson--thank you so much for opening up your home to us these past few days.  We had a wonderful time with the three of you & we cannot wait to see you again in less than a month!    And Brian, get working with Marc on your Dutch Brothers plan so that we can all move to the same city sooner rather than later, OK?! :)  We love you & cannot wait to see you soon!!!
