Thank you for all of your sweet comments on yesterday's post. I have to agree with everyone that I certainly do have a GREAT hubby & really do appreciate him giving me all of his Vegas winnings.
My sister called today & asked what I was going to buy with all of my money. I responded with 'new clothes for Punta Cana, plus Marc needs a new wardrobe too because he has lost so much weight & nothing fits him anymore.' Her response? 'I knew you would be sensible & not spend it on some fancy bag or something.'
Yep, now that I'm old & wise (ha!) I am pretty sensible with my money. And generous too, giving back part of my money to Marc. :)
Our shopping spree is Monday, so I'll be sure to show you all of our purchases!

On another note, Kennedy had her first real school field trip yesterday. Her class went to Pioneer Farm, where they learned about how the pioneers lived.

The weather was not optimal, however, we were lucky that we did not get poured on. Just some on & off drizzling throughout the day. It definitely could have been much worse.
We carpooled with other parents to the farm, which was about an hour and a half away. The above picture shows our car mates. I giggle every time I look at this picture because of how much shorter she is than all of her friends! Ha!
While we were there, the kids learned about how the pioneers lived--the cabins they lived in, the chores they did, the food they ate & the clothes they wore. It was a hands on tour, so the kids were able to practice washing clothes, grinding corn, as well as playing with some typical toys from the 1800's. And they also got to ride in a horse & buggy, which they all loved!
They also got to go to the barn & milk cows, feed the horses & play with the pigs, baby chicks & sheep. Of course the main highlight for all of the kids was jumping off of the hay stack. Go figure.
I think that the highlight of Kennedy's day, though, was that her 'boyfriend', Dallas, was also on the field trip. Remember him? Yep, they were inseparable once again. Sitting next to each other & at one point I caught them holding hands! Yep, you heard me right! I glanced over at them, looked down & there they stood holding hands! I was shocked! I tried to get a picture but it was blurry because they started to walk away. If this is any indication of the years to come with miss KK, I'm in BIG trouble!
It was a super fun day & I think that Kennedy (and her friends) all had a great time! And I'm so happy that I got to spend the day with my baby girl!
