I Could Get Used To This

I could really get used to this no school, activities, or plans week that we've had all this week.  I've been loving Spring Break & am dreading getting back into the routine again come Monday.  Getting up at 6:30 am is not going to be fun, nor will having to rush around in the morning to be out the door on time.  This week has been good.  Really good.

Today the girls & I went to visit the Easter Bunny.  It was a perfect visit.  No lines, the girls smiled (and Kennedy even kept her eyes open), & they captured a cute picture on the first shot.  We were literally in & out of the mall in 10 minutes.  Perfect!

I do not have access to scan the picture onto the computer, but when I do I will be sure to share it.  The girls looked super cute, if I do say so myself.

The Easter Bunny gave the girls each a windmill which Kennedy kept calling a wind wheel.  It was pretty cute, especially seeing both of them trying to blow on it to make it spin.

And then this afternoon after rest time, they were my errand girls.  Side note, the girls love when I refer to them as this & take much pride in their role as my errand girl.  And today they definitely earned it.  We ran more errands than I care to count & I was very thankful that they were in pleasant moods & cooperative during our long outing.  I was also very thankful it did not rain while we were out.  Do you know how annoying it is to have to traipse two little girls in & out of the car, to & from stores in the pouring rain?  Not fun at all.

Before the above picture was taken, Ashby was half whining, half crying about her lip hurting.  Perhaps it was dry & cracking.  I'm not really sure what exactly was wrong with it, but as she was throwing a mini fit, Kennedy gently leaned over to her & gave her a kiss to make her feel better.

I love how sweet & caring she is for her little sister!  I can only pray that her protectiveness for her baby sister continues for many years to come.  Ashby may not like it but I love how good Kennedy is to her sister.  It melts my heart.

And they melt my heart.  In a big way.

Like I said, it's been a good great week.  I'm sad to see it come to an end.
