Blog Award!

My sweet sister, Rachael, nominated me for this blog award.  Thanks Rae Rae!  I love reading the following blogs, so I'm going to nominate these lovely ladies:

5 Random Things You May Not Know About Me...

1. Marc & I met on the dating website, Match.com.  I never in a million years imagined that I would meet my future husband on a dating website, but it was hard to meet normal people while living in Las Vegas, so I thought what do I have to lose?!  It took awhile for some of my family members to warm up to the idea of how we met, but once they met him & got to know him, they fell in love with him, just like I had...and the rest is history!

2.  I'm a girl who needs the sun!  We've lived in Washington for about 4 years now & each winter does not get any easier.  Days & days (and days) of dreary weather puts me in such a bad mood.  It is amazing how much happier I am when the sun is shining.  While it is super nice to live close to some of my family, we do not want to live in Washington for the rest of our lives.  Our next move WILL be a place that has plenty of sun!

3. I was a dietitian prior to having the girls.  While I loved learning about everything related to food in college, I think it made me all weird about it all.  Just ask my family!  Ha!  Food borne illnesses, the temperature danger zone, etc. has really made it hard to just enjoy food.  While I am not ruling anything out, I doubt that I will go back to work as a dietitian when the girls are both back in school full time.  I think being an Independent Scentsy Consultant is much better suited for me! :)

4. Growing up, I wanted to have all BOYS!  I think it had to do with the fact that I had 2 sisters & no brothers.  And then I had Kennedy.  I LOVED having a girl & when I found out I was expecting baby #2, I secretly hoped that this baby would also be a girl.  I was elated when at our 20 week U/S they told us that baby #2 was indeed a girl!  I love having my 2 girls & now cannot imagine having a boy!  Oh, how things change!

5. I am a natural blonde.  This last one is from Marc.  Ha!  It's all a big joke because when we met I was super blonde (thanks to highlights) & I think I even told him my natural hair color was blonde.  Well, imagine his surprise when I had a hair appointment to get more blonde highlights!  To be fair, as a baby I was very blonde...think Ashby blonde.  Over the years, though, it has darkened & now my natural hair color is a dish water blonde.  Not very cute or flattering at all.  Well, blonde highlights over the years has been very high maintenance, thus why I've gone dark recently.  Who knows how long I will stay this color or if I will go light again, but I will always claim to be a true blonde!

So, you have been nominated...here is what you should do!

Each Nominee Should:

  1. Thanks for nominating me!

I think that would have made *me* crazy too, going to school for that. I'm already really paranoid about expiration dates and food storage, etc. haha

That's funny that you wanted all boys at first! I agree, having girls is so fun :-) Do you guys think you'll ever have another, or are you done with two?
