Lots & Lots Of Celebrating!

I think it is safe to say that the birthday girl and birthday boy each had very special days!  And it's not over yet!  Grammy, Papa, Aunti Rae Rae, Uncle Brian & baby Greyson are coming into town for Kennedy's birthday party tomorrow!  As you can see, we like to extend birthdays well past their actual special day. :)

Wednesday was Kennedy's 5th birthday & Daddy, Mommy & Ashby woke her up with a loud rendition of Happy Birthday!  Baby girl was super excited to see the streamers hanging from her door too!

The birthday girl quickly wanted to get dressed & ready for the day, so she could open her presents.  And boy, did she get presents!  She loved everything that she got but I think her most favorite gifts were the Go Go Puppy from Grandpa & Grandma and the bike from Daddy & Mommy!

Unfortunately, we quickly had to wrap up playing with all of her new gifts because she needed to eat breakfast & get ready for school.  She was super excited to bring cupcakes to school that day & have all of her friends sing happy birthday to her!  She said she had a great day & that she got to wear a birthday crown & button all day at school, and that the cupcakes were delicious!  

Throughout the day, she received many special birthday phone calls from family.  She loved all of the extra attention & was be sure to tell everyone that she talked to that 'I'm 5 today!'  She was very proud of her new age!

After rest time & playing with her new toys, we took her out to her dinner of choice.  She wanted to go to our local Mexican restaurant & then to Cold Stone for dessert.  My kind of girl!

After a delicious dinner & dessert, we were going to go home to practice riding her new bike.  But unfortunately, it was raining (big shocker, huh?!) so she settled on playing some more with all of her new presents.  

After bath time, jammies, teeth brushing & books, her birthday was quickly coming to an end.  She kept talking about how great of a day it was & how she cannot believe she is 5!  I think it is safe to say, she had a great birthday!
