Nothing to exciting happening in our neck of the woods. Some times A lot of times being a stay-at-home mom is very monotonous. You do the same things day after day, week after week, month after month. When my sisters call (or when I call them) and they ask what I'm up to, I usually respond with the same answer: SSDD. Same Stuff (or another not so nice word on really bad days) Different Day. Such is life as a stay-at-home mom. I'll admit, there are some days that I dream about having a job in the real world, but then I quickly look at my two precious girls and the awesome opportunity that I get, to be able to stay home with them, watching them grow into wonderful girls that they are. And I think to myself, I wouldn't have it any other way!
This morning Kennedy had school. The girl LOVES school! She loves when the weekend ends & Monday rolls around because that means she gets to go back to school & see her teachers and friends. I pray that her love of school continues for many, many years to come!
Side note: I went to a kindergarten open house yesterday. How in the world is my baby girl old enough to be going to school? Real school! 7 hours a day, learning things like history, Spanish & science, eating lunch in a cafeteria, the whole shebang. Unbelievable! It seems like just yesterday she was my tiny, little baby. I love it but don't at the same time. Does that make sense?
I also grabbed the mail this morning after not getting it for a few days & was thrilled to see that I had received a Scentsy award! 9 months with Scentsy & I am still over the top, in love with this company! Still one of the best decisions I have ever made! I feel so blessed to have this wonderful opportunity with such an amazing company.
While Kennedy was at school, I had our babysitter come and stay with Ashby so that I could go and workout and run a few errands. Today my workout of choice was something I have not done in a very long time. Swimming! I grew up swimming, did summer swim team, and swam all through high school. However, through college & in the years that I have had the girls, I have gotten away from this wonderful sport. So today I jumped back in & had an awesome workout! But oh my word, was it hard! And 2 hours later, my arms are still feeling like jello and are so sore! Wowzers!

| After I picked up my little school girl and got home, this sweetie pie greeted me with open arms. And a big fat kiss! |
The girls had lunch & are now down for rest time. I about to do some Scentsy work, close out some parties & get ready for my big party in Everett tomorrow night. So excited to see those ladies!
Not to much planned for this evening. Marc is away on business all week so it is just me & my girls. I'm sure we'll find something fun to do. If the girls have it their way, I'm sure it will involve markers, or paints, or some other craft project. :)
Shout out to all of the stay-at-home moms out there!

What is the HARDEST thing about being a stay-at-home mom?

I hear ya, I was having one of those "it'd be nice to go work" days too lol
ReplyDeleteI love Scentsy. Funny story though, I've had my scentsy warmer for a year now and my mom and sister in law etc. kept giving me all these new scents to try and I couldn't figure out how they went through them so fast, because I was still practically on my first scent pack. Not until about a month ago did I find out that you are actually supposed to empty and change the scents from time to time...I thought you just kept using them until it all evaporated or something LOL. My house smells great now that I figured out how to use it :-P
I was a swimmer in high school too! I swam the 500:)
ReplyDeleteAs a teacher, I'm only a "stay-at-home" mom during the summer, but we do get stuck in a rut on some days. The best thing about being home with my girls is being a part of their daily lives. Sometimes I feel like my mom (who stays with them when I'm at work) knows more about them that I do. As a mom, that's VERY hard to swallow.
ReplyDeleteYeah, my least favorite part about being a SAHM is definitely the monotony and loneliness that happens sometimes. But the best part is getting to see all her little changes each day and watching her learn about life. I love the bond the two of us have together!
