BIG Birthday Weekend!

Wow!  What a weekend!  It was a weekend full of birthdays & parties!  I'm exhausted just thinking about everything we did these past few days.  But it was a wonderful weekend, filled with family, friends & loved ones showering Ashby & me with birthday love!

First up...MY birthday!

So, Saturday I turned the big 3-4!  One more year & I am half way to 40!  Eeek!  Actually, my age is just a number.  It really doesn't bother me.  I don't feel like I'm in my (almost) mid thirties & I definitely don't look like it.  At least that is what customer service people & random people that I meet tell me.  More like 18.  Thanks.  I think.

Saturday morning my wonderful husband let me sleep in.  Unfortunately, the ole' body is used to getting up at 6:30 am every day, so sleeping in consisted of getting up at 7:30 am.  But it was an extra hour of sleep, so I'll take it!

I came downstairs to 'Happy Birthdays' from the girls (and hubby too) as well as heart felt birthday cards.  If you know the Berch family, you know we are HUGE fans of cards!  So I was thrilled to receive a birthday card from Marc AND the girls!

There was no time for a big birthday breakfast, or some cuddle time with the girls for this birthday mama, because we needed to get ready for a special someone's birthday party.

Our little princess was having her own Princess/Spa party with 6 of her little friends.  She had a wonderful party & I cannot wait to show you pictures from it.

After Ashby's party, we came home & fed the girls a light lunch, and then got them down for rest time.  Soon after they were down our babysitter, Jenny, came so this mama and her man could go out to celebrate MY birthday!

But not before I noticed this sweet blog post from Marc.  What a wonderful surprise!  I had no idea that he even knew how to get on Blogger, let alone create a blog post!  Ha!  Needless to say, after reading his sweet birthday message, I was a ball of mush.  Love him & am so thankful he is MINE!

Marc & I had the afternoon to ourselves & I was super excited to have some alone time with my man!  We went out to eat at my favorite Mexican restaurant, hubby took me on a little shopping spree at the mall & we capped off the night with Cold Stone ice cream.  Eating, shopping, and more eating.  Three of my favorite things!

And we came home to the girls bathed & in bed.  Perfection!

What a wonderful birthday!  Thank you for all of your sweet birthday wishes on Facebook, email, here on my blog, as well as the wonderful phone calls & birthday cards that I received.  You all made this birthday girl feel extra special!

Next up...Ashby's Birthday Bash!
