Today, I am Thankful For...
* Friends. Dinner (and dessert) out with a girlfriend last Friday, another girlfriend & her girls over last Saturday, Bunco tonight & some friends over for dinner tomorrow night. I love all of my friends & it makes me so happy when I get to hang out with them.
* A Thriving Business. I've said it before & I'll say it again. Joining Scentsy was one of the best decisions that I have made. Yes, I love that I now can contribute financially to the household. I love that we can put extra money away for college, weddings, & retirement. I also love that we have some extra 'play' money to go out to eat, join a gym, etc. But what I really love is the sense of achievement & accomplishment that I feel from working again. I love doing something for me & I love that I am good at it. Who knew that sales would be my thing?!

* Alvin and the Chipmunks. Before these little chipmunks came into the picture, the girls had never been into movies before. We have plenty of Disney movies, however, they have never lasted more than 15-20 minutes watching them. That is, until Grammy bought them Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. The girls cannot get enough of this movie! Every morning they ask to watch this movie. Yes, I love the 90 minutes of peace & quiet that I get to unload the dishwasher, check email, & get some cleaning done. But what I really love is hearing the giggles & squeals that come from the family room. They get such a kick out of this movie! And you know what I am even more thankful for?! That there is a new Chipmunk movie coming out at Christmas. The girls are going to be so excited when I tell them!
* My Nephew. He truly is a miracle baby. Born at only 30 weeks & a lengthy stay in the NICU, I am so thankful that he is healthy & perfect in every way! He was Superman for Halloween, and I think that was a perfect costume for him to wear! He definitely is a Superman in our eyes!
* My Sisters. Although we don't live near each other, and don't always talk as often as we should, I love that my two sisters are always there for me. Through thick & thin. Through good times & bad times. Through happy times & sad times. My sisters are my best friends. We have each other's backs & I would do anything for them. I know I don't say it enough, but I love them & are so proud to call them my sisters.
* Good Health. Not just me but Marc & the girls too. I can count on one hand how many times the girls have been to the pediatrician for a sick visit. And Marc & I rarely go to the doctor because of an illness either. I am very thankful we are healthy people & that no major illness has taken over our life. I pray that this continues.
* Sunshine. This time of year, sunshine, is a rare thing in the Pacific Northwest. Fortunately, this Fall has been very kind to us. We have seen more sunny days than rainy days, and for that I am very thankful. The shining sun makes me feel good & puts a smile on my face.
