Is This A Good Smile, Mama?

It's been well documented on this blog about Kennedy's ugly smile phase.  It has been a very long phase.  Over a year, to be exact.    Each picture of Kennedy must be taken at least 5 times before we get a decent one.  Maybe she is self conscious.  Or maybe she is just trying to hard.  I really don't know what the exact problem is, but her smile does not come naturally when the camera appears.

Yesterday afternoon while we were playing in the play room, Kennedy came to me with this card out of one of my catalogs.  

She kept looking down at the card, then up at me smiling.  And then would ask, 'is this a good smile, mama?'

My sweet girl thought this little girl was cute (though Marc & I think she looks a bit like Chucky.  Ha!) & was trying to imitate her smile.

She asked me to grab my cell phone & take a picture of her smiling so she could see if she was doing a pretty smile.  Here are a few shots I got.

Oh my word!  Each time I snapped a picture, the pretty smile appeared!

Amazing!

Maybe I need her to hold this picture every time we pull out the camera!  Ha!
