The Funny Things She Says

In the past I've done The Funny Things They Say posts, but the older that Kennedy gets, the less funny & incorrect things she says.  Part of me is sad because what is not hilarious about her calling chapstick, chopstick (one of the only things she still mispronounces)?  *Sigh* My baby girl is growing up right before my eyes.

So this post will just be dedicated to Ashby & the funny things that she says.  And boy, does she say a lot of funny things!  I just love this age!  Most of the time.  Ha!

* Ashby gets the words Me, My & I mixed up a lot.  She has not learned how to use these words correctly, so a lot of sentences sound like this:

My want to help you

My do it

My want it

* She also likes to use the 3rd person when talking about herself.  Instead of me neither it is Ashby either or instead of I don't like, it is Ashby don't like.

* If Kennedy says she wants something (I would like some yogurt) but Ashby doesn't want it, she will say 'Ashby either' which really means 'I don't want any'.


* When Ashby tells us something like 'My sad' (I am sad) and we ask 'Why' she will just said 'Because ummm'.  She never finishes the sentence, it always just ends with ummm. 

* Green Bay Packers: Geen Geen Packers

* What is that?: Is it that?

* Backpack: backcack

* Cupcake: puccake

* Snowman: towman

* Ice Cream: i cream

* Goodie Bag: biggie bag


* Pick Me Up, Please: carry me up, pease


* Vanilla Yogurt: nella yogurt


* I Get To Stay Up: my stay wake up

That is all I can think of right now.  I'm sure after I hit publish post, though, I will think of a few more.  She is at such a fun age right now & as her vocabulary expands, so does the funny things she says!
