Silly Sleeper

Ashby loves her toddler bed.  For the most part, we have not had many issues with her transitioning from her crib to her big girl bed.  She does, however, enjoy getting out of her bed. It's her new found freedom of being able to get in & out as she pleases.  There have only been a couple of times that she has gotten out of bed AND left her room, but we quickly nipped that in the bud.  She now knows that she isn't allowed out of her room until Mommy or Daddy come to get her.  She does, however, continue to love to get out of her bed.  As soon as we put her down for rest time or bed time, she immediately gets out of bed, the light turns right back on & she lays on the floor & kicks the door (something else we are really trying to stop!).  Luckily, she usually doesn't kick for long & eventually falls asleep.  Most times back in her bed, but sometimes like yesterday, she falls asleep on the floor.

I love how she has all of her 'essentials' next to her--her lovey, blank & Molly the Dolly.  AND that she fell asleep with her feet up on the wall!  She obviously got herself very comfy before falling asleep!

I cannot imagine how sleeping on the floor can be comfortable, especially since she has a nice, comfy bed right next to her!  But she obviously enjoys it.  This is the first time I've been able to document her sleeping on the floor, but from where I have found her (many times!) after rest time & in the morning, I do not think that this has been the first time she's chosen the floor as her resting place.

Baby Girl--I'm glad that you are enjoying your new resting place, but at least put a pillow under your head if you are going to choose to sleep on the hard, cold floor!  :)
