Daddy Day Care

Daddy was in charge of the girls while I was away this past weekend visiting my sister, brother-in-law & nephew. I was not worried, as he has watched the girls many times when I've gone out of town for the weekend.  Sure, he may not stick to 'my' schedule nor feed them the most nutritious foods, but I know the girls have a blast with him & he enjoys the special daddy-daughter time!

Here is a peek into what what they did while I was gone...

From the pictures that daddy texted me, it looks like they had a FABULOUS time!  They went to the Thurston County Fair (look at all of the stuffed animals he 'won'!) & Lattin's Apple Farm.  I also learned (from some quizzing by mommy) that they went to the doughnut shop, had 'Old' McDonald's for lunch, got match box cars at Toys 'R Us & got a new Wii game!  Holy Moly!!!!  It looks like Daddy spoiled his girls while I was gone!!!

Obviously I didn't agree with everything that happened while I was gone (hello, JUNK FOOD!), but in the end it wasn't, and isn't, the end of the world.  I was happy that the three of them were able to spend the weekend together and create their own special memories.  In fact, I know that they had such a fun time with daddy because last night during dinner Kennedy said to me, 'mommy, can you please leave the house now.  We want to be with daddy.'  Ouch.  That kind of hurt my feelings but I am glad to know they love their special time with daddy.
 
And on a funny note, Grammy called on Saturday & said to Kennedy, 'so daddy is babysitting you this weekend.'  To which Kennedy responded with an astounding, 'NO Grammy, he is our daddy, not our babysitter!'  Ha!  So true, Kennedy!  Although I'm sure at times daddy may feel like a babysitter! :)

I'm heading to my sister's baby shower this weekend & I'm excited (and a little nervous) to see what fun plans daddy has up his sleeve this time while he 'babysits' the girls!

And if anybody talks to him this weekend, can you make sure he adds a few more fruits & vegetables to the girls' diet??!!  Please & thank you! :)
