Office Reveal!

So not only have we been working on our backyard, but we've also been making big changes to our office too!   Our office space has never been 'office like' with a nice desk, file cabinets, and good storage but it has suited us just fine.  We were a little crammed when both Marc & I tried to work at the same time, but somehow we managed....

Until I started selling Scentsy.  Oh my goodness!  Once all of my warmers, bars, catalogs & other Scentsy goodies came, our office (and house for that matter) became one big cluttered mess! 

I am not proud of these pictures, but this is what our office (and dining room) started to look like after all of my Scentsy stuff arrived!  There was stuff all over the ground, on tables & in rooms that it should not have been in!  We got to a point where we couldn't even move around in the office, or in other rooms that my stuff had slowly spread to.  It was time for an office overhaul!

We contacted Closets By Design & a designer came out to help us redesign our office space.  On our 'NEED BADLY' list was storage space & good, usable work space for Marc & me.  Marc really wants to be able to work from home more, but in the old office space it just was not feasible.  So without further ado, here is our new, redesigned office space!

We LOVE it!  It doesn't even look like the same office, does it??!!  We decided to also put hard wood floors down as the old carpet was really getting matted down by the office chairs rolling on it.  Look at all of the storage space!  Above the desk & on one whole wall!  A whole wall devoted for my Scentsy stuff!  It feels so nice to have an organized office again, not to mention a dining room that is used solely as a dining room! 

We still have some finishing touches to do to the office, like quarter round around the baseboards, artwork, etc.  And one minor (well, I guess pretty major) detail, opening up the two electrical outlets that were blocked.  Oops!  But I will say, that their customer service department has been WONDERFUL regarding this hiccup.  They are coming back out at the beginning of August to fix the problem.  Thank goodness, because we are NOT surviving with just one, lone electrical outlet.  Once this issue gets fixed, our office will be PERFECT!  We love our new office space & are very pleased with how it all turned out!
