We have a very sick little girl on our hands. In the past 24 hours, Ashby 'normal' cold has turned into a non-stop runny nose, horrendous cough & goopy eyes (she had just one this morning, but after lunch the other one started to ooze nasty stuff too). She is just miserable. I was *this close* to taking her to Urgent Care this morning, but our neighbor friend who is a doctor came over & took a look at her. He said her lungs sound good, there was no wheezing, & she doesn't appear to be having a hard time breathing (thank goodness!). She has the start of conjunctivitis/pink eye but he said if we did warm compresses throughout the day, we were safe to wait to see her pediatrician until the morning. So for now, we push fluids, do warm compresses on her eyes, give Motrin to keep her comfortable, & have lots of snuggle time with daddy & mommy.
My poor baby. I hate when my girls get sick. Please keep Ashby in your thoughts & prayers. I pray that she does not get any worse throughout the day/night & she will start feeling better soon.
