A Day Devoted To Kennedy

What a day!  Kennedy had a wonderful 4th birthday! She was a little emotional this morning, due to being over tired & over stimulated from the past couple of days (and maybe because she had to get two 'pokes' at her doctor's appointment), but overall she had a great birthday!

Good morning birthday girl!  Look at that bed head!

Enjoying a special birthday breakfast...donuts!

This is where her morning got a little rough.  Mommy wasn't thinking & made her 4-year well visit this morning.  She had to have two 'pokes' & was not happy about it!  Here she is trying to smile after her appointment.  You can clearly see she has been crying...a lot!!!

She is still a little peanut.  She weighed 28 lbs & was 37 inches tall, both in the 5th percentile.  She had a hearing & vision test and did great on both of them.  The doctor said she looked perfect...but we already knew that!

After her doctor's appointment, daddy took her to get her special birthday balloon.  No surprise here, she chose a Hot Wheels balloon!

And she even chose a special one for Ashby too.  A princess balloon!

Next, she had her gymnastics class.  She perked right up & forgot about her owies on her leg from her 'pokes' when she saw her friends & started tumbling.

Finally, a HAPPY birthday girl!

For lunch Marc, grandpa & grandma took her to her restaurant of choice, Red Robin (Yum!). Marc said she enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich, french fries & oranges.  The staff all sang happy birthday to her & she enjoyed an ice cream sundae.  That thing looks bigger than she is!

Grandpa & grandma then took her to Toys 'R' Us to pick out her birthday present.  They bought her a Wii balance board.  You have NO idea how long she has been asking for this thing!  Here she is playing with it when they got home.

Dinner, again, was her choice.  Another favorite, pizza with crazy bread & crazy sauce.

Followed by birthday cake.

After dinner she opened presents from grammy & papa.  Here she is riding on her scooter that they got for her.  She loves it...and so does Ashby!  I can see lots of fights over this little pink scooter in the near future.

And singing in her microphone that daddy & mommy got her.

Thank you to everyone who made Kennedy's birthday so special.  We appreciate all of the phone calls, emails & FB posts wishing our little girl a wonderful birthday.  Thank you for all of the thoughtful gifts too.  She loves them all & we appreciate you thinking of her on her special day.  We love you all!
