Today was the girls' first day of school! We now have a BIG 1st Grader & Pre-Kindergartner!
Drop off went smoothly. There were no hesitations nor tears from either of them, and that made leaving them so much easier!
Upon pick up, Ashby said she had a great day & that the school day went super fast. I had to laugh, though, because when Mrs. Blake brought Ashby to the car she had big ole' marks on her face. Rest time is from 2:00-2:30, and I guess Ashby crashed hard & the teacher had to wake her up when it was time to leave. I have a feeling that it's going to take awhile for our baby girl to get used to going to school 5 days a week, 6 hours a day!
There is a half an hour window between when I pick up Ashby & when Kennedy gets out of school, so during that time we talked about her day & Grandma & Ashby had some fun in the backseat. Read: Ashby took a billion pictures on Grandma's phone & was being a goofball.
When Kennedy got into the car she declared that her day was GREAT, but then quickly changed her tune. It soon sounded like 'the day was slow, it was boring, we didn't do anything fun, we did a lot of seat work.' I think our big girl is just ready to learn & get into a regular school routine!
It was a great first day for both girls & they cannot wait to go back tomorrow! We are all looking forward to a wonderful 2013-2014 school year!
Yay, glad they had a great first day! Raya had her meet and greet, find your seat thingy today---she's now all pumped and ready to go too haha :-)
