Saturday was our last day in NYC. And while we were so sad to see this amazing trip come to an end, we could not wait to hug & kiss on our baby girls. We had missed them so much!!!
We slept in a little bit, and then packed & got ready before heading out to a late breakfast. All week long we had heard about Ellen's Stardust Diner & everyone said that it was a must before we headed home.
All of the waiters & waitresses sing to the patrons during the meal and the atmosphere is so vibrant & alive! It was such a fun experience & I was very impressed with all of their voices! Most, if not all, of them are trying to make their way into Broadway, and this is a great way to help make their dreams come true!
After breakfast, we made our way to Carlo's Bakery. The original one in New Jersey. Marc had absolutely no interest in going there, but he was a good sport & obliged. It's amazing how easy it was to get to Hoboken, NJ via the subway!
Everything looked so delicious! And even though we were still stuffed from breakfast, we each got a little something. An M&M cookie for me & a small cannoli for Marc. And a couple of treats to bring home for the girls.
By this time, we had pretty much done everything that we had planned/wanted to do while in NYC. But we still had a couple of hours until our driver was going to pick us up to head to the airport. So we took the PATH back to the city & then tried to walk off some of the many calories we had consumed that morning. Ha!
We ran into a parade (we could not figure out what it was exactly for), so we had to take quite the detour. While we were walking, we decided to check out St. Patrick's Cathedral. It was undergoing a restoration & had scaffolding all around it, but we were able to walk around inside of it. Wow! Was it beautiful! It was the perfect way to end our fabulous week!
And just like that, it started to rain. It was the perfect time to head back to our hotel & wait for our ride to the airport. We were so sad to leave this amazing city! We had a fabulous time & it was truly a trip of a lifetime!
Thank you, Scentsy! I am so thankful & blessed to work for such a wonderful company that gives us these amazing opportunities! It is a trip I will NEVER forget!
